Information Sent Directly
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is submitted to the independent provider that operates the results function. Our own servers do not retain a copy of those search entries. If you contact us, we receive the content of that message and use it to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting systems may log an IP address, browser information, requested pages, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate for security, operations, and basic usage measurement. Cookies or similar tools may support analytics and advertising measurement where used.
How Data Is Used
Limited data is used to keep the service operating, diagnose faults, measure general traffic, and improve the reference material. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services
Links lead to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and independent search services. Their own policies govern any information submitted after leaving this service, including information sent through sponsored search results.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers can process routine log data on our behalf. Analytics or advertising providers may receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information only when a valid legal process requires disclosure or as otherwise required by law.
Data Safeguards
The service uses an encrypted connection. Logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. Because there are no accounts, the service does not maintain visitor passwords or account profiles.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has submitted personal information so it can be addressed.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on jurisdiction, a person may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data a service keeps. Ohio does not supply a general consumer privacy statute in the research materials for this purpose. Because this service retains very little, an inquiry ordinarily concerns a contact message or routine log. Use the Contact page to make a request. Government records controlled by Ohio, Franklin County, or Madison Township remain the responsibility of their own custodian; Ohio’s Public Records Act is R.C. 149.43.
